The First International Conference of Translation, Graphic Medicine and doctor-patient Communication will be held on the 3rd – 4th of November 2022 in the rector’s office at the University of Córdoba. The conference frames within the FEDER project «OncoTRAD: Medicina gráfica y Traducción al servicio del paciente oncológico y su entorno en la Sociedad Andaluza» (1381162-R), which is financed by the Regional Ministry of Economy, Knowledge, Enterprise, and Universities of the Regional Government of Andalusia. The project is run by Dr Ingrid Cobos López and Dr Juan de la Haba Rodríguez. The conference allows participants and attendees to participate virtually or In-Person.

Within the International Conference framework, we will host the First Conference for Cancer Patients promoted by the project En qué te puedo ayudar led by Dr. Juan de la Haba..

The conference theme is IN-FORMATION as a tool to achieve Patient Empowerment. Thus, it is intended to create a forum where theories, investigations, methodological proposals and case studies regarding Translation, Graphic Medicine and doctor-patient Communication are discussed and presented by Translation, Graphic Medicine and Health professionals and researchers. This theme is not restrictive; any proposal related to the conference’s thematic lines is welcome. The conference has the privilege of having confirmed speakers who are professionals to look up to in their field. Also, the conference accepts workshops on Graphic Medicine and comics or Graphic Medicine, visual abstract and infographics.
